Senior High School - Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) track


High School Department

The Senior High School (SHS) program with a Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) track is designed for students who have an interest in the fields of humanities, social sciences, communication, and the arts. This track provides a well-rounded education that focuses on developing critical thinking, effective communication, and an understanding of societal issues.

Core Subjects in the HUMSS Track:

  1. Creative Writing/Malikhaing Pagsulat: Develops students' skills in various forms of creative writing, including poetry, short stories, and essays.

  2. Introduction to World Religions and Belief Systems: Provides an overview of major world religions and belief systems, fostering an understanding of cultural diversity and religious traditions.

  3. Philippine Politics and Governance: Explores the political structure and governance systems in the Philippines, including an understanding of the Philippine Constitution and political processes.

  4. Introduction to the Philosophy of the Human Person: Introduces students to philosophical concepts related to human nature, existence, and ethical considerations.

  5. Creative Nonfiction: Focuses on the art of writing nonfiction narratives, including personal essays, memoirs, and literary journalism.
